Position Summary :
The After Hours Registered Nurse (RN) provides essential nursing care for terminally ill Hospice patients during evening, overnight and weekend shifts. Responsibilities include supporting patients and their families in home care settings, offering guidance and empathy during difficult times, and providing quality care to our patients within their home.

This position entails standing for long periods of time. While performing the duties of this job, there will be considerable physical effort most of the day including kneeling, squatting, reaching, twisting, climbing, walking, exposure to temperature and humidity changes and maximal assist in lifting and / or transferring of a 100-pound patient. Must possess sight / hearing senses or use appropriate adaptive devices that will enable senses to function at a level required to meet the essential duties of the position. Must have a current valid driver’s license, auto liability insurance and reliable transportation as travel may be required.
The work environment requires appropriate interaction with others. The noise level in the work environment is moderate. Occasional travel to different locations may be required.
