What are the responsibilities and job description for the Shipping Specialist position at Cortec Corporation?
The Shipping Specialist will verify and maintain records on incoming and outgoing shipments using our ERP system, Microsoft Office, and other third-party software. Prepare items for shipment; duties include picking, assembling, addressing, and shipping finished goods; receiving, unpacking, verifying, recording incoming merchandise or material; and arranging for the transportation of products.
POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES
· Efficiently and safely load and unload trucks using appropriate materials handling equipment.
· Verify incoming materials and outgoing orders using ERP system
· Pull and prepare items for shipment.
· Package products as necessary for transit.
· Use UPS WorldShip/FedEx for parcel shipments
· Run cycle counts
· Scan parcel paperwork into file server
· Report shipping, receiving or warehouse problems to supervisor or manager.
· Wrap and band pallets from overnight shifts
· Move raw materials and finished goods within the warehouse using a forklift

· Support Production staff as needed.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS
Minimum Education: High School Diploma or GED
Minimum Experience: 1 to 2 years’ prior experience in shipping and receiving. Must be experienced using forklifts, pallet jacks and stretch wrap machine. Basic computer skills required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $21.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
