Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including administering medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Participates in on-call coverage.
- Supervise and manage nursing staff to ensure high standards of care.
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients' health status and develop individualized care plans.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in accordance with legal and ethical standards.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and optimize outcomes.
- Educate patients and their families about health conditions, treatment options, and preventive measures.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements related to patient care and safety.
- Stay updated on advancements in nursing practices, medical terminology, and anatomy knowledge.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree preferred; Associate’s Degree, required
License/Certification
- State RN certification/license
- CPR certification
- American Heart Association issued BLS
- Crisis prevention certification
Five years’ experience in a similar position, preferred
Ability to manage anger, fear, hostility, and violence of others appropriately
Ability to make decisions under pressure
Ability to manage stress appropriately
Proficient in applicable software applications
Excellent interpersonal skills
Above average organizational skills
Proficient in mathematical and analytical skills as they apply to clinical duties
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines
Comfortable working in confined or crowded areas
Comfortable working alone or in a team environment
Proficient in written and verbal communication skills
Ability to read and comprehend complicated clinical instructions and correspondence
Ability to write detailed clinical correspondence
Proficient in grammar and spelling as it relates to clinical duties
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to Hospital leadership employees, patient, patient family member etc.
