Corteva Agriscience is seeking a professional to join our team as an Employee Relations Representative supporting the Human Resources People Relations team. This position provides strategic Employee Relations support, thought partnership, and coaching to all levels of the organization.
This role is hybrid and will sit at one of our Global Business Centers: Indianapolis, IN or Johnston, IA.
Key Responsibilities - What you will do to help us grow!
- Provides day-to-day guidance on employee related matters to Leaders across the United States and Puerto Rico (includes counseling, performance improvement, disciplinary action advisement guidance).
- Provide strategic Employee Relations support, thought partnership, and coaching to all levels of the organization.
- Triage employee relations casework by identifying potential solutions to address different case types and actions appropriately.
- Works to resolve colleague complaints and concerns, including conducting effective, thorough, timely and objective investigations. Maintain absolute confidentiality in all work.
- Support leaders in the involuntary separation process.
- Help balance risk, considering employee, business and company perspectives.
- Interprets and articulates implications of HR policies & programs, adapts advice as necessary to business team needs.
- Contributes at a high level on various assigned HR projects and programs and other duties as assigned.
As an Employee Relations Representative on this team, you will use your experience and skills to be an integral member of the business facing HR team. You will work in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment. The ability to handle diverse requests, to think proactively and adapt to changing, and sometimes competing, priorities is critical. High level of confidentiality is expected and of extreme importance for this team.
Education & Experience - What do you bring to the Table!
- Bachelor’s degree required. Minimum 5 years of experience in Human Resources working in Employee Relations and/or Consulting capacity desired including minimum of 3 years of employee relations, labor relations, or labor/employment law experience.
- Demonstrates ability to professionally and effectively interact and communicate both verbally and written, with all levels within an organization.
- Strong interpersonal skills, demonstrates empathy, and proven ability to build solid relationships remotely.
- Demonstrates critical thinking, problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Proven ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality.
- Proven ability to self-manage/monitor work and self-direct multiple competing priorities.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a virtual team.
- Ability to work collaboratively with team members, HRBPs and HR COEs.
- Advanced computer skills with MS Office applications (specifically Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint).
