Corteva Agriscience has an exciting opportunity for a Research Associate to join the Johnston, Iowa Genomic Lab's Gene Editing Molecular Characterization (GEMC) team!
What You Will Do :
- Maintain a reliable molecular screening pipeline to support the discovery, characterization, and development of genome editing applications.
- Apply state-of-the-art techniques in support of the Biotechnology gene editing pipeline and document experimental data accurately into database systems
- Partner with our colleagues across the organization to provide agile and flexible analytical solutions to answer their experimental questions.Coordinate with various laboratories to support Corteva scientists as they seek to improve crops through conventional breeding and genetic engineering
- Manage a constantly changing workload appropriately and effectively to ensure that project timelines are met
- Operate and maintain molecular laboratory equipment
- Ensure that all materials necessary for GEMC production are prepared properly, safely and on time
- Documenting details of weekly GEMC production data with an ability to analyze and interpret results
- Recording pertinent information in proprietary and standard software applications
- Participating in new technology development or process improvement studies
