Description
The Trait Integration (TI) Strategy Lead is critical to Corteva Agrisciences' mission to bring innovative seed products to our customers' farm operations. This position is accountable for driving products through the TI organization to deliver products to the seed product development pipeline aligned with Product Development and Seeds Business strategies. The selected candidate will participate and contribute to product concept, trait transition, and product delivery teams. He or she will work closely with partners in Breeding, Biotech, Production and Commercial teams to enable product development, communicate relevant TI information, and design TI execution strategy. The TI Lead will collaborate with operations leaders at global research centers to ensure operations are aligned with commercial plans
Responsibilities - What You will Do
- Be an active team member of trait concept, development and commercialization teams.
- Communicate and collaborate with Breeding, Biotech, Production, and Product delivery teams sharing delivery, quality, and timeline information.
- Effectively work together with operations leaders across a global network to enable the TI strategy.
- Collaborate with breeding technologies, molecular breeding, and genotyping laboratory experts to design and implement a trait integration backcrossing strategy that will deliver high quality conversions to the pipeline.
- Lead teams to implement and execute global plans.
- Constant monitoring of the Trait Introgression Pipeline ensuring delivery of required products at the right time and quality as a key partner in our product delivery Pipeline. Communicate issues proactively to site leaders to identify potential solutions.
- Identify specific solutions for each site to address individual challenges and issues.
- Identify potential problems in operations and implement mitigation plans that ensure delivery.
- Determine best practices and protocols that each site / crop / process and train execution teams appropriately.
- Reallocate resources when needed based on product development strategy changes.
- Implement and manage change
