RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Lead Equipment Engineer is responsible for:
· Lead and coordinate the equipment engineering group.
· Control and maintain the system for Technical Purchase Specifications (TPS) templates.
· Coordinate with Supply Management regarding TPS templates.
· Communicate guidelines regarding formatting of TPS templates with the engineering group.
· Participate in One Power management systems reviews and PEM meetings.
· Write TPS's for equipment for systems to Power and Recovery Boilers
TASKS:
· Lead Equipment Engineer has the following tasks:
· Establish technical basis for purchasing of equipment.
· Help develop cost estimates for a given proposal
· Prepare technical purchase specifications for material handling and auxiliary equipment items
· Evaluate Suppliers' Quotations
· Prepare purchase requisitions
· Review and approve equipment drawings & information submitted by Suppliers
· Coordinate information between the Company, Suppliers, and Clients
· Responsible for equipment compliance to local laws and directives.
· Responsible for correct documentation provided by the supplier.
· Produce, distribute and approve project-related technical documents.
· Compile documents and participate in purchasing of equipment and system.
· Follow-up at the sub-contractors and at Customer's site.
· Inspect and approve purchased equipment and system.
· In certain extent supervise erection of equipment at site.
· Lesson learned after accomplishment of a project.
· Perform and compile basis/calculations for offers.
· Coordinate and work with other disciplines for their input to TPS.
· Answer possible questions from the organization and TPS-responsible regarding the templates.
· Help to keep projects on schedule and within budget.
· Participate in Project review meetings.
COMPETENCIES EDUCATION:
· BS in Engineering or equivalent (preferably mechanical) and experience from work with equipment within the industry.
· Skills: Power Industry components knowledge and mechanical skills
· Strong communication and organizational skills
· Well conversant in performing calculations for mechanical, material handling, and other auxiliary equipment items
· Committed and driven, used to have "many things ongoing”.
· Good knowledge in the Office package.
· Basic knowledge in our Engineering tools.
· Computer skills in Auto-Cad, Math-Cad and PDMS will be plus.
· Experience: 5 years of experience in the Power Generation industry
