What are the responsibilities and job description for the UX Designer IV position at Cortex consultants LLC?
UX Designer IV
Offshore / Nearshore ( Salisbury, NC )
12 months contract
Candidate MUST be prepared to review their portfolio and resume to be interviewed.
Specifics needs :
The design role will split equal time between two agile teams.
Both teams are based on the east coast, we can do remote, and candidates will need to join calls if needed as early as 8 : 00 am EST.
Timeline :
There is a desired to contract for a year, but it will be great if we can do same as we have done in the past where we have re-assess engagement after 6 months
Background info :
Technology Portfolio Optimization team :
They are a new formed team. They will need to develop and iterate a service blueprint, identified gaps, and work on service improvements
Looking towards the future, the main goal would be to design IT Technology Portfolio Optimization Strategy from an understanding of the end users, and the impact the changes produced will have on their workflows
Commercial Analytics team :
They are looking into turning a very manual process (data collection and synthesis) into something more interactive like a dashboard.
User base impacted by this change is ~500 users
The ideal candidate is a team player who can effectively communicate design ideas and concepts and contribute positively to the team dynamic. He / She / They will :
Help prioritize the product backlog based on user input and research, ensuring that design decisions align with user needs and preferences.
Work closely with the team to develop and iterate on designs, contributing to a collaborative and innovative environment.
Act as a change agent by driving user-centered design practices and processes, promoting a culture of continuous improvement within the team.
Design priorities are being defined, and likely include :
Service Design
UX strategy
Rapid Prototyping, Testing and Iteration
Dashboard Design (by Product / Use Case)
Strategy and Prioritization Guidance help on both defining the strategy as well as bringing thought- and design leadership on how to present it to others based on their role.
