Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Pet Groomer to join our team. If you have a passion for working with animals and providing top-notch grooming services, we want to hear from you. Experience preferred but on the job training will be offered for the right candidate. Starting pay will be depending on experience, we receive hourly pay plus tips.
Duties:
- Perform grooming services such as bathing, brushing, clipping, and styling pets
- Handle and restrain pets during grooming procedures
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all pets in your care
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the grooming area
- Communicate effectively with pet owners to understand their grooming preferences
- Monitor pets for health issues and report any concerns to the appropriate staff
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in pet grooming or related field preferred
- Knowledge of different breeds and their specific grooming requirements
- Certification from a reputable grooming school is a plus
- Ability to handle animals with care and patience
- Strong communication skills when interacting with pet owners
- Comfortable with heavy lifting and working in a physically demanding environment
Skills:
Nice-to-have skills include:
- Dog training
- Veterinary technician background
- Experience in pet sitting or pet care
- Knowledge of animal care practices
- Veterinary or veterinary assistant experience
