What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cost Estimator position at Cortina Solutions?
Cortina Solutions is seeking a Cost Estimator to support a government customer in Albuquerque, NM.
This position is contingent upon contract award.
Job Duties:
- Provide support for the development, maintenance, and updating of cost estimates for Department of Defense programs.
- Assess risks and schedule
- Align Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) elements
- Ddevelop data driven estimating methodologies whenever possible
- Maintain basic understanding of mission critical aspects of acquisition and DOD programs/projects.
- Effectively communicate with program office personnel to include functionals, program managers, leadership, and stakeholders.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in Human Resources; additional experience may be used in lieu of degree
- Certified Cost Estimator/Analyst (CCE/A) or a Certified Cost Professional (CCP) is not mandatory but preferred.
- Knowledge of Higher Headquarters, Air Force, Space Command, processes and procedures is desirable but not mandatory.
- Active Top Secret Security clearance
