What are the responsibilities and job description for the Information Technology (IT) Specialist/Asset Manager position at Cortina Solutions?
Cortina Solutions is seeking an Information Technology (IT) Specialist/Asset Manager to support a government customer in Albuquerque, NM.
This position is contingent upon contract award.
Job Duties:
- Account for and understand the various Air Force and Space Force IT assets policies, procedures, supply chain-based and directives for asset accountability
- Follow procedures for asset management and logistical activities such as equipment ordering, receiving, safeguarding, transfer, and disposal
- Maintain asset control and inventory records in electronic format or database and ensure completion of annual inventory
- Ensure all government assets are correctly identified and properly labeled in accordance with installation and USSF/USAF policy
- Build, maintain and update hard/soft copies of equipment identification and location nin the custodian’s folders
- Identify, report and provide report of survey and inventory adjustment record of any assets lost, stolen, damaged or destroyed
- Maintain, track and submit required initial and renewal licenses of acquired software with government lead to ensure coverage of usage
- Manage maintenance repair and warranty exchanges
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Information Technology or related field
- Minimum of ten (10) years’ experience with DoD
- Understanding of FAR, DFARS, and other government property management regulations
- Proficiency in property management software systems
- Experience in tracking, tagging and maintaining accountability for government-furnished property
- Ability to conduct audits and prepare detailed reports in compliance with government regulations
- High level of accuracy in maintaining records, including receipts, transfers and disposals of property
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Active Top Secret Security clearance
