What are the responsibilities and job description for the Information Technology (IT) Specialist position at Cortina Solutions?
Cortina Solutions is seeking an intermediate Information Technology (IT) Specialist to support a government customer in Albuquerque, NM.
This position is contingent upon contract award.
Job Duties:
- Provide support for unclassified, Collateral, Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) and Special Access Programs (SAP) networks
- Maintain network and standalone servers, workstations, network access, security monitoring systems and system documentation as required
- Analyze and troubleshoot system anomalies to ensure optimum performance
- Prepare systems for operational use and support operational tests
- Identify AIS vulnerabilities and implement countermeasures
- Ensure AIS and network nodes are operated, maintained, and disposed of in accordance with security policies and practices
- Perform Video Teleconference (VTC) System administration, scheduling, and configuration
- Provide network direct client support
- Create, modify, and delete user accounts
- Provide direct multi-level Help Desk support and troubleshooting of all hardware and software
- Perform Hardware/Software System Configuration, upgrades and modifications
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- Minimum of five (5) years’ experience with DoD
- Proficiency in operating systems, networking protocols, and hardware troubleshooting
- Industry certifications (CompTIA A , Network , Security , etc.) are preferred
- Familiarity with cybersecurity practices, firewalls, antivirus software and system backups
- Experience in documenting IT procedures, configurations and troubleshooting steps
- Ability to diagnose and resolve hardware, software and network issues efficiently
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Active Top Secret Security clearance
