What are the responsibilities and job description for the Financial Aid Officer position at Cortiva Institute?
We're looking for a Financial Aid Officer to join our team!
The financial Aid Officer is responsible for providing exemplary customer service and support to the students who are applying for admission. You will be responsible for properly projecting student eligibility for any Title IV grants / loans, as well as providing affordable payment options with non-Title IV lenders and institutional loan options.
ADMINISTRATIVE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coordinate and oversee activities related to the awarding of federal student aid.
- Meet with students regularly to review financial aid awards, keeping current on crossover award periods and repackage students as necessary.
- Collect any necessary documents related to ensuring students are eligible for awards and clearing pending obstacles for students who are selected for verification.
- Assist students in completing all FAFSA-related documents.
- Communicate regularly with Corporate Financial Aid office regarding the processing of federal student aid and cash collections from students.
- Complete other assigned duties, as needed.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Applicants must possess high levels of organizational and customer service skills. Must be of the highest level of integrity to ensure compliance with all governmental regulations.
SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS
- Displays professionalism, problem solving skills, have a positive attitude, and customer focused.
- Exhibits a strong regard for organizing and prioritizing, as well as an ability to meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills, (Both verbal and written), and be customer service oriented.
- Can function in a variety of situations and under pressure.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office products.
