We're seeking a hands-on Teaching Assistant to join our team!
The Teaching Assistant’s primary responsibility is to support the instructor to manage and lead students to graduation through a positive and energetic classroom environment.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support the instructor with strict adherence to the syllabus, curriculum & lesson plans
- Be prepared for every class by following the syllabus, obtaining necessary apparatus’, and arranging the classroom accordingly
- Start classes at assigned time and conduct class until dismissal time
- Support instructors with preparing students both in content and mentally to take the State Board Exams
- Clearly and slowly demonstrate the technique assigned for that day and maintain the attention of all students
- Assist in delivering an active lesson and lecture, encouraging active student learning, participation, and engagement
- Provide continuous feedback to students to enhance their individual techniques and style
- Assist with grading and reviewing assignments, quizzes, & exams in a timely manner
- Answer or resolve student’s questions effectively & professionally
- Complete other assigned duties as needed
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Applicants must possess high levels of organizational and customer service skills. Must be of the highest level of integrity to ensure compliance with all governmental regulations.
SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS
- Displays professionalism, problem solving, positive attitude, customer focus
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or scheduled format.
- Strong Administrative skills
- Nine months to one year experience and/or training that includes classroom experience combined with supervisory experience
- Can function in a variety of situations and under pressure
- Proficient with Microsoft Office products
- State License, if applicable

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 23 per week
