Summary
The position would require you to float between classrooms that need coverage. The hours would be flexible depending on what was needed.
Duties
- Assist Lead teachers with daily schedule of activities
- Actively engage in activities; manage cleanliness, order, and availability of classroom materials.
- Maintain frequent communications with parents through informal discussions and progress reports.
- Encourage self-help and good hygiene through behavior modeling.
- Help ensure smooth, daily transition from home to child care center.
- Follow all center policies and state regulations.
- Maintain personal professional development plan to ensure continuous quality improvement.

History
The Cortland Child Development Day Care Program began operation in 1974 to provide early care and education for the children of parents who work or attend school.
We are a not-for-profit agency, licensed by the State of New York. Our Programs are available to infants through preschoolers and children needing school-age recreational care on a year-round basis, open many of the days our public schools are closed. Enrollment priority is given to children with special challenges.
