NOTICE OF JOB VACANCY
Job Title: Alternatives to Incarceration Officer
Administers the Pre-Trial Release Program by determining eligibility, monitoring participants for court appearances and reporting compliance to Court. May refer to services as needed. The incumbent is also responsible for gathering and analyzing statistical and budgetary information relative to program operation in accordance with State and Federal laws and rules. The work is performed under the general supervision of the Probation Director (Group A) with wide leeway allowed for the exercise of independent judgment in planning and carrying out the details of the work. Does related work as required.
Work Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week, with benefits
Salary: $22.9539-29.0539/HR(CSEA Union)
Location: Cortland County Probation

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Either:
(a) Possession of a Bachelor’s degree or higher; OR
(b) Possession of Associate’s degree or higher and two (2) years of full-time paid or its part-time equivalent experience conducting community service assessment, case management or counseling to individuals with problems with the criminal justice system or those in need of community service; OR
(c) Four (4) years of full-time paid or its part-time equivalent experience conducting community service assessment, case management or counseling to individuals with problems with the criminal justice system or those in need of community service.
NOTE:
Verifiable part time and/or volunteer experience may be prorated toward meeting full-time experience requirements.
NOTE:
Degree must have been awarded by a college or university accredited by a regional, national, or specialized agency recognized as an accrediting agency by the U.S. Department of Education/U.S. Secretary of Education. If the degree was awarded by an educational institution outside of the United States and its territories, applicant must provide independent verification of equivalency.
