Job Overview

As an Instructional & Learning Experience Designer, you partner with our training team and subject-matter experts (SMEs) to design impactful, learner-centered experiences. You provide training project management services, instructional design, and experience-driven development for both instructor-led and self-paced learning. By blending design thinking with instructional strategy, you create solutions that not only educate but inspire meaningful engagement and long-term knowledge retention.

 

**This is an onsite, in-person position located at our Atlanta, GA office**

Roles You Will Play

The Visionary 

 

  • Innovate learning experiences through creative, technology-forward design solutions that align with business goals and enhance learner engagement. 
  • Use tools like Adobe Creative Suite, Storyline, to build captivating, immersive learning materials. 
  • Leverage user research and feedback to continuously iterate and improve the learner experience. 

 

The Designer 

 

  • Create a wide range of deliverables, including e-learning modules, interactive simulations, PowerPoint templates, and multimedia assets. 
  • Design learning ecosystems that blend digital and live elements, promoting dynamic, personalized learning journeys. 
  • Incorporate learning science principles, like cognitive load theory and spaced repetition, to craft effective, retention-focused designs. 

 

The Strategist 

 

  • Lead needs analyses, mapping learning objectives to measurable outcomes while aligning with broader organizational strategies. 
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define program goals, conduct audience analysis, and develop learner personas to tailor content. 
  • Design learning pathways that accommodate various learning styles and leverage adaptive learning techniques for a personalized experience. 

 

The Organizer 

 

  • Structure content in intuitive, learner-friendly ways, ensuring accessibility and responsiveness across devices and platforms. 
  • Develop design systems and style guides that maintain brand consistency while supporting flexible, scalable content development. 
  • Manage projects with agility, balancing timelines and feedback loops to deliver high-quality learning experiences on schedule.

Building Blocks of Success

  • 4 years of combined instructional design and learning experience design with a strong portfolio showcasing diverse learning solutions. 
  • Bachelor’s degree in instructional design, learning experience design, graphic design, or a related field. 
  • Proficiency in tools like Adobe Captivate, Articulate Storyline, Camtasia, and learning management systems (LMS). 
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and storytelling abilities to translate complex ideas into compelling learning experiences.
