As the Manager of Cloud Security, you will ensure the efficient, secure, and reliable operation of the organization’s technology infrastructure, which supports a workforce of over 2,600 employees. The role encompasses leadership of a team of four engineers and system administrators, with accountability for Azure cloud operations, Cisco networking, Microsoft 365 platforms, and traditional IT operations, including data center management, endpoint security, disaster recovery, and more.
The ideal candidate will combine strong technical expertise with strategic leadership capabilities to manage a complex, enterprise-scale technology ecosystem.
Leadership and Team Development
- Manage, mentor, and develop a team of two to three engineers and system administrators, creating and maintaining a high-performance culture.
- Define roles, set measurable objectives, and provide regular feedback and coaching to team members.
- Build and maintain strong cross-functional relationships to ensure seamless collaboration with other departments.
Cloud and Modern Technology Operations
- Oversee the organization’s Azure cloud infrastructure, ensuring its scalability, security, and optimal performance.
- Drive the adoption of cloud-native technologies to modernize legacy systems and enhance operational efficiency.
- Manage Microsoft 365 services across the enterprise, including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive.
Network and Traditional IT Operations
- Maintain and optimize a robust Meraki based network infrastructure, including routing, switching, VPNs, and firewalls, to support secure connectivity across multiple sites.
- Develop and maintain standards for network infrastructure across the organization’s environment
- Ensure high availability of hybrid environments, including storage, backups, and virtualization.
- Oversee endpoint management solutions, ensuring the security and efficiency of employee workstations, mobile devices, and peripherals.
Enterprise Security Operations
- Work closely with the Enterprise Security Team to develop, implement, and enforce enterprise security policies and procedures to safeguard organizational data and systems organizationally.
- Monitor and mitigate security risks, responding to incidents promptly and implementing lessons learned.
- Manage identity and access management (IAM) systems to ensure secure user authentication and authorization.
- Participate in regular penetration testing, vulnerability assessments, and compliance audits to align with regulatory standards.
Operational Excellence and Service Delivery
- Define and maintain SLAs and KPIs for system availability, performance, and IT support.
- Develop and implement ITIL-based service management practices, including incident, problem, and change management.
- Provide oversight for Tier 2/3 support, ensuring timely resolution of escalated issues.
- Collaborate with external vendors and service providers to manage contracts, optimize costs, and deliver high-quality services.
- Work directly with 3rd party vendors to maintain and support environments.
Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity
- Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans to ensure minimal disruption to operations.
- Conduct regular testing of backup and recovery procedures to validate readiness.
- Ensure resilience against cyber threats, including ransomware, through proactive planning and defense strategies.
Strategic Planning and Technology Initiatives
- Partner with executive leadership to align technology operations with business goals and growth strategies.
- Identify and lead initiatives to modernize and streamline IT infrastructure, including cloud migration and digital transformation projects.
- Prepare and manage budgets for infrastructure, licensing, and personnel, ensuring cost-effectiveness.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 8 years of experience in IT infrastructure and operations, with at least 3 years in a leadership role managing enterprise-scale environments.
- Deep expertise in Azure cloud services, Cisco networking (e.g., CCNP-level knowledge), and Microsoft 365 platforms.
- Hands-on experience with traditional IT systems, including data center operations, storage, and virtualization.
- Comprehensive understanding of cybersecurity frameworks, tools, and best practices.
- Strong project management skills with experience leading technology transformation initiatives.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Azure Administrator, CCNP, CISSP, ITIL) are highly desirable.
