JOB SUMMARY
The Nurse Practitioner (NP) is responsible for diagnosing and treating patients holistically, addressing both preventative and acute health needs. This role involves conducting physical exams, face-to-face consultations, telehealth services, interpreting diagnostic tests, and promoting wellness practices. The NP will collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care, supporting disease prevention and health education.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Proven experience as a Nurse Practitioner in clinical settings, including clinics, hospitals, ER, or other healthcare environments.
- Expertise in primary, acute, palliative, and chronic care practices.
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations and patient care standards.
- Strong communication skills with an emphasis on ethical practices.
- Team-oriented with a positive, patient-focused attitude.
- Master’s degree in nursing, with certifications such as CFNP (Certified Family Nurse Practitioner) or AGPCNP (Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner).
- Valid Nurse Practitioner license.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Examine patients and review their medical histories.
- Order, conduct, and interpret diagnostic tests, including blood tests and imaging.
- Diagnose health conditions and illnesses, proposing treatment plans for chronic and infectious diseases.
- Prescribe medications and manage patient treatment plans.
- Maintain accurate patient records and scheduling.
- Educate patients and family members about health conditions, treatments, and preventative practices.
- Provide holistic oversight of patients’ health and wellness.
- Promote healthy lifestyle practices and educate on disease prevention.
- Participate in continuing education, research, and professional development.
- Offer preventative care options, including alternative treatments such as trigger point injections and medical massage.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT
This position involves patient care in various settings, including private homes, clinics, and healthcare facilities. May require travel to different patient locations.
