JOB SUMMARY
The Occupational Therapist (OT) administers occupational therapy to patients intermittently in their place of residence. This care is provided in accordance with physician orders and a plan of care under the supervision of the Director of Clinical Services or Clinical Manager.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program as recognized by the Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation of the American Medical Association and the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA).
- Certified by successfully completing the National Certification Examination, or eligible for the National Registration Examination of the AOTA.
- Currently licensed in the state of practice, unless licensure does not apply.
- Two (2) years of experience preferred.
Requirements
RESPONSIBILITIES
WORKING ENVIRONMENT
Primarily works indoors in an office setting and in patient homes, with required travel to and from patient locations.
JOB RELATIONSHIPS
Reports to : Director of Clinical Services or Clinical Manager
Supervises : Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant and Home Health Aide as assigned.
RISK EXPOSURE
High risk due to direct patient care and in-home services.
LIFTING REQUIREMENTS
The role requires the ability to engage in physical activities essential for patient care, including extended periods of standing and regular moderate lifting, bending, and other physical activities.
