A Shift Quality Technician

POSITION TITLE: Quality Technician

REPORTING RELATIONSHIP: Quality Supervisor

PAY STRUCTURE: Hourly

Hours: Monday - Wednesday 5:00AM - 5:00PM

PURPOSE OF THIS POSITION: Lead shift day to day activities in support of production.

Required

BACKGROUND REQUIRED:

• Experience working within a quality system
• Experience using measurement gages
• Ability to read and understand drawings
• High school diploma/GED preferred
  
  

Special Skills

• Usage of various measuring devices (calipers, Micrometers, check fixtures, scale, MFI, etc.)
• Understanding customer dimensional submissions
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Team building, Problem solving and Root Cause Analysis (8D, 5-why, Fishbone, etc.)
• Computer Literate (Microsoft Office)
• Continuous Improvement background
  
  

Duties And Responsibilities

• Adhere to company policies and procedures, including Safety, Quality, and EMS
• Follow Standardized Work Instructions
• Perform Check fixture inspections during production activity and record in QA database at the required frequency of the Control Plans.
• Gather data and report findings within a structured format (use of customer specific format if required)
• Lead quality team on respective shift
• Monitor calibrated gages for damage, due dates
• Lead containment activities when required
• Train and develop auditors in the QMS system
• Assist in the ongoing development and training of policies and procedures related to the Quality Management Systems
• Lead shift to shift communication between quality and production leadership.
• Performing incoming inspections
• Complete testing on incoming materials
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
