The Vice President of Care Services is responsible for the product development and operations management of CorVel Ancillary Services. The scope of management control includes Call Center Management, Care Coordination, Clinical Management, Provider Network Management, Revenue Cycle Management, Client Performance Management, Product Development, and a wide array of other various responsibilities essential to the overall growth of CorVel’s Ancillary Healthcare products. 

For continuity of business candidate is required to reside and work within the Eastern and Central time zones.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITES:

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Operate as CorVel’s lead Subject Matter Expert regarding Care’s products and services
  • Operate as a subject matter expert regarding the worker’s compensation managed ancillary healthcare industry
  • Able to guide the organization regarding managed ancillary healthcare industry and competitor trends
  • Accountable for operational management and results of P&L
  • Accountable for product development and results of revenue growth
  • Ensure program growth, product development, and operational strategy is in alignment with greater corporate and network services strategies
  • Implement and oversee workflow processes according to service level agreements and best practices to ensure product efficiency and accurate service delivery
  • Production and quality management to ensure that team performance metrics are established and met
  • Provides excellent internal and external customer support including issue resolution, product training, and service assistance
  • Lead operations efforts for hiring training and team member development that builds staff engagement and retention
  • Assures optimal team performance through continued training, coaching and team building
  • Reviews and monitors departmental service and administrative results to ensure program expectations are met or exceeded
  • Ensures client specific processes are sustainable and implemented accurately
  • Collaborates with other service operations managers for overall program synergy
  • Maintains appropriate knowledge of jurisdictional regulations regarding ancillary care, and ensures services are provided in accordance
  • Partner with sales staff on product proposals and presentations
  • Lead service operations discussions with corporate IT and Development for system maintenance and enhancements
  • Performs all other duties as assigned

 

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is required
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; demonstrated ability to provide superior service to internal and external stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to build trust and strong cross-functional relationships across an organization to achieve common goals
  • Proven project management and process improvement skills
  • Proven skill in prioritizing, problem solving and accelerating change
  • Sense of urgency and ability to multitask in a dynamic, fast-paced environment

 

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: 

  • Minimum of bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare or related field with experience required
  • Master’s degree in business, healthcare or related field with experience preferred
  • At least 5 years of prior management experience in healthcare services required
  • Prior senior management experience in Ancillary Benefit Management or Utilization Management preferred

 

PAY RANGE: 

CorVel uses a market based approach to pay and our salary ranges may vary depending on your location.  Pay rates are established taking into account the following factors:  federal, state, and local minimum wage requirements, the geographic location differential, job-related skills, experience, qualifications, internal employee equity, and market conditions.  Our ranges may be modified at any time. 

For leveled roles (I, II, III, Senior, Lead, etc.) new hires may be slotted into a different level, either up or down, based on assessment during interview process taking into consideration experience, qualifications, and overall fit for the role.  The level may impact the salary range and these adjustments would be clarified during the offer process. 

Pay Range:  $121,571 – $187,198
