We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Entry Level Electrical Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a foundational understanding of telemetry systems, power systems, and a passion for working with data acquisition and transmission technologies. This role involves supporting the design, implementation, and maintenance of telemetry and power systems, requiring collaboration with various engineering teams to ensure effective data communication and analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the design, development, and testing of telemetry systems for data acquisition and transmission.
- Support the installation, configuration, and maintenance of telemetry and power systems hardware and software.
- Monitor and troubleshoot telemetry and power systems to ensure reliable data collection, transmission, and power distribution.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate telemetry and power solutions with existing systems.
- Participate in data analysis and reporting to support engineering and operational decision-making.
- Maintain detailed documentation of telemetry and power system designs, configurations, and maintenance procedures.
- Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies in telemetry, power systems, and data communications.
- Provide technical support to internal teams and external customers as needed.
- Travel up to 25% of the time to customer sites for installations, repairs, and support.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of telemetry systems, power systems, data acquisition, and communication protocols.
- Familiarity with programming languages such as Python, C/C , Etc.
- Knowledge of network protocols, data communication standards and power distribution concepts.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and quality.
- Ability to acquire a Secret Clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with telemetry hardware and software (internships, projects, or coursework).
- Familiarity with commercial telemetry systems from providers such as Safran and Curtiss-Wright.
- Understanding of wireless communication technologies (e.g., RF, cellular, satellite).
- Familiarity with data analysis tools and techniques.
- Proficiency with electronic instrumentation such as oscilloscopes, network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, DC power supplies, and DC loads.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to work in an office environment.
- Ability to travel and work in various field environments as needed.
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
