Summary: Perform all aspects of patient care in a surgical radiology environment that optimizes patient safety with minimal medical/health care errors. Ensure compliance with patient care quality standards as it relates to the care provided to all age groups of patients ranging from neonate to geriatric.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare patients for imaging procedures by explaining the process and ensuring comfort.
- Operate radiographic equipment to produce high-quality images of surgical sites.
- Assist surgeons by positioning patients and equipment to obtain optimal imaging results.
- Maintain patient safety and adhere to established protocols during imaging procedures.
- Ensure proper functioning of imaging equipment through regular maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure clear communication and understanding of imaging needs.
- Document and maintain accurate records of procedures and patient information.
- Participate in continuing education and training to stay updated with the latest imaging technologies and techniques.
