Summary: PT/PRN/FT Available! The Hemodialysis Tech II position will coordinate with the Clinic Manager and Charge Nurse in the training process for all newly hired and existing staff members. The Hemodialysis Tech II is responsible for assisting all clinical floor training and integrates CH policies, procedures, and dialysis theory for the treatment of ESRD (End Stage Renal Disease) patients for all dialysis clinical floor positions.
Direct Patient Care: PCTs work under the supervision of a RN, direct one-on-one care to provide safe, comfortable, and hygienic dialysis treatment.
Technician Duties: Monitor patients before, during and after dialysis treatment including measuring and recording stats, patient observations, and hemodialysis machine setup.
Continuous Improvement: We are consistently looking for ways to improve processes for our patients and employees as we aim to build a good, safe healthcare environment. Building long-term relationships with your patients who are suffering from end stage renal disease and are receiving treatment on average 3 times/week. You will be responsible for educating patients on Kidney Dialysis related topics.
Typical Work Environment:
- Frequent exposure to communicable diseases, blood and other bodily fluid borne diseases, toxic substances, ionizing radiation, medicinal preparations, and other conditions common to clinical environment.
- Nurse is required to wear protective clothing as needed per infection control's universal precautions.
