POCC Duties:
- Assists in development, implementation, evaluation and coordination of all point-of-care testing performed by non-laboratory and laboratory staff.
- Conduct training for point of care lab testing for hospital staff, clinic staff, and lab staff.
- Competency tracking of all staff for all waived testing.
- Maintains and monitors those performing the testing and its quality of reporting.
- Maintain the analyzers for processing the POC testing. (calling service, maintenance if needed, technical investigation, lining up. repair/replacements, etc.).
Lab Assistant Duties:
- Help Track quality measures and report clinical data to meet regulatory requirements (IP, State, Monthly logs).
- Help with tracking competency records for lab staff.
- Help organize procedures and logs for CAP and prepare for inspections.
- Help with tracking of charges and manual entry of charges where needed.
- Help with processing samples in the lab when needed.
