Summary: The RN/Registered Nurse is primarily responsible for utilizing the nursing process and nursing standards in providing health needs to the patient in the Med Surg department. The LVN is responsible and accountable for providing patient care and services for assigned patients utilizing the nursing process under the direct supervision of the registered nurse.
