The Junior Accountant is going to be a key part of the finance team having a wide set of responsibilities and will be in touch with important areas of finance: Accounting and AP. This person will be involved in the closing monthly process, in support of the Finance Director and the Accounting Manager.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
ACCOUNTING
· Understanding and being part of the accounting activities of the business finance and accounting system within the framework of the Group accounting guidelines (US GAAP and IFRS for reporting).
· Advising and supporting the Finance Director and the rest of the finance colleagues in financial day-to-day operations, to make sure requirements are met with both: timing and quality.
· Part of the AP team issuing payments and processing OPEX invoices and accounting team including booking of journal entries
· Involved in monthly closing for both accounting and reporting. Analysis of PL and BS activities. Link between Miami team and Group Controlling Team in Switzerland, preparing and analyzing data trends across the consolidated and individual entities and businesses channels.
· Updating the bank reconciliation on a daily basis for all accounts of the company
· Ensure compliance with applicable internal and external accounting standards and financial policies and assist with the annual audit process including the draft of the financial statements and related notes.
· Proactively identify opportunities to improve and automate existing processes, strengthen internal controls and optimize data management.
· Being able to back-up the Account receivables accountant
EDUCATION/DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE & TRAINING
· An enthusiastic person looking for growth potential that will interact with the company’s departments pro-actively and contribute to strategic, financial, operational and workforce related performance and decisions
· Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or equivalent work experience
· A minimum of 3 years in a Finance/Accounting and compliance/Audit department
· Strong quantitative, financial, and analytical skills
· A keen eye for the details and eager to drive optimization/automatization
· Strong organizational, written, and interpersonal communication skills
· Ability to be flexible and adapt to changing priorities and deliverables
· Ability to work effectively to influence cross-functional teams across the business
· Strong Excel and data analysis tools skills and comfortable working with large data sets

Salary : $58,800 - $62,500
