What are the responsibilities and job description for the Entry Level Low Voltage CAD Designer position at Cosco Fire Protection?
Summary Cosco Fire Protection is looking to hire a Full Time On-Site entry level candidate for the Alarm and Detection Department. The candidate will use CAD software to create drawings for low voltage electrical systems like security cameras, data networks, or fire alarms, creating detailed drawings of low voltage systems in CAD software, including cable layouts, device placements, and conduit runs, following project specifications and industry standards.
This is not a remote position.
Qualifications Proficiency in AutoCAD or other relevant CAD software, basic understanding of electrical theory, ability to read blueprints, attention to detail, and good communication skills
Preferred
Construction Understanding: A background in construction is advantageous.
Blueprint Reading: Capability to interpret architectural, mechanical, and electrical plans, layouts, and diagrams.
Time Management: Strong organizational skills to meet project timelines.
Positive Attitude: A professional demeanor and a positive outlook.
Expert Communicator: Able to handle all forms of communication (email, phone call, and verbal) with ease.
Computer Skills
Intermediate computer and software skills to include the use of AutoCAD CADWorks program, NavisWorks, word processing, e-mail, excel spreadsheet and electronic presentation programs
