What are the responsibilities and job description for the Customs Entry Writer position at COSCO SHIPPING (North America) Inc.?
Sea Trade International, Inc. a subsidiary of COSCO SHIPPING (North America) is seeking a Customs Entry Writer to work in its Secaucus, NJ headquarters office.
Specific responsibilities and duties include, but are not limited to:
- Prepare and review customs documentation, including import and export declarations
- Ensure compliance with customs regulations, including tariff classification, valuation, and country of origin requirements
- Coordinate with internal teams, clients, and government agencies to resolve customs related issues
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date knowledge of customs regulations and procedures
- Stay informed about changes in customs regulations, trade agreements, and industry practices
- Perform audits and reviews to assess compliance with customs requirements
- Provide guidance and support to colleagues on customs-related matters
- Handle custom inquiries, investigations, and disputes
- Monitor and track customs clearances and resolve any delays or issues
- Support the development and implementation of customs compliance procedures and policies
Experience & Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in customs operations or customs brokerage
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook, Nitro
- Familiarity with CargoWise's enterprise system a plus

Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
