Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Property Accountant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial records and ensuring compliance with accounting standards specific to property management. This role requires a strong understanding of financial accounting principles, as well as the ability to interpret financial reports and perform reconciliations. The Property Accountant will play a crucial role in maintaining the integrity of our financial data and supporting the overall financial health of our organization.

Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements for various properties.
- Conduct thorough bank reconciliations to ensure all transactions are accounted for accurately.
- Perform general ledger reconciliation and ensure all entries are properly recorded in accordance with accounting standards.
- Interpret financial reports to provide insights into property performance and assist in decision-making processes.
- Manage tax-related tasks, including reviewing of tax returns as necessary.
- Collaborate with tax professional to facilitate smooth financial operations and address any discrepancies or issues that arise.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts for property management activities.
- CAM, calculating and invoicing CAM
- AR/AP
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
- Proven experience in accounting, particularly within the property management sector is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in YARDI and accounting software and tools used for financial reporting and analysis.
- Strong understanding of financial report interpretation, governmental accounting practices, and tax regulations.
- Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical skills for effective problem-solving.
- Ability to perform general ledger reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, and bank reconciliation accurately.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
