Summary:
Cosm is looking for an experienced network engineer to help expand and optimize our global network infrastructure. You'll be responsible for working with several different technology teams within Cosm to enhance and maintain networks that support our innovative Shared Experience Venues and Live Broadcast systems. This is an exciting opportunity to join a team that's at the forefront of immersive entertainment, designing and implementing sophisticated network solutions for our growing portfolio of experiential venues.
Responsibilities:
Partner with peers in the Field Technology Engineering team, other internal departments, and vendors on deploying and maintaining a new multi-site network infrastructure.
Develop automation and tools to stand up Media & Entertainment (M&E) sites sites and disaster recovery operations.
Management and support Palo Alto SD-WAN
Evaluate, select, and implement proposed solution packages for new site build outs.
Advise on high-level strategic decisions with the rest of the engineering team.
Develop design changes to the initial architecture based on changing requirements.
Create and update documentation for network designs, best practices, and operational procedures.
Takes ownership of projects to completion
Provide Tier 2 and 3 support for networks once implementation is completed.
Train Tier 1 support teams in troubleshooting procedures.
Act as part of the Global Operations team in monitoring the overall infrastructure.
Manage wireless networks, Network Access Control (NAC), and infrastructure monitoring.
Research emerging methodologies to constantly improve the efficiency of current networks.
Establish and implement network security protocols and procedures.
Participate in on call rotation.
Experience:
7 years of experience in IT
4 years of experience working in Network Management and Support
Knowledge of network automation (Ansible, Python, Netbox, Infoblox)
Cisco Certified Network Professional (Routing/Switching/Wireless certs)
Experience creating and monitoring firewall policies
Able to manage, update, and troubleshoot Routing/Switching/Wireless networks
Willingness to travel and ability to perform physical tasks such as rack and stack.
Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Proficiency with Cisco, Palo Alto, Dell, Ruckus, and Arista
Experience with Cloudvision, Panorama, Palo Alto SDWAN
Proficiency with BGP routing protocol
Knowledge of Multicast, PTP and SMPTE 2110
Experience with troubleshooting with ISPs
Experience with supporting live entertainment operations, media and broadcast systems
Work Environment:
Available for overtime and weekends as the schedule varies depending on site operational needs; flexibility required.
Must be able to work during live productions in environments with high noise levels and significant activity
Ability to maneuver around an entertainment venue and walk, stand, sit, bend, stoop, squat, and stretch to fulfill tasks. Must have finger dexterity to be able to operate office equipment
Travel to sites and spend 4-6 weeks on-site doing installation
Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 40 lbs
