Job Summary:
We are seeking a Senior Azure Architect with 10 years of experience to lead the design, development, and implementation of enterprise-scale cloud solutions using Microsoft Azure. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in cloud architecture, infrastructure, and operations, with a proven track record of delivering complex cloud-based solutions. As a Senior Azure Architect, you will be responsible for defining the cloud strategy, guiding architecture best practices, and leading a team to deliver high-performance, scalable, and secure Azure environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Cloud Solution Design and Architecture:
Design and architect scalable, secure, and highly available solutions on Microsoft Azure that meet business and technical requirements.
Lead the overall cloud architecture strategy, focusing on modernizing enterprise applications, infrastructure, and ensuring a smooth transition to the cloud.
Provide recommendations on the selection and deployment of various Azure services (e.g., Azure Compute, Azure Storage, Azure Networking, Azure Security).
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate cloud solutions with existing infrastructure and enterprise applications.
Technical Leadership and Collaboration:
Lead technical discussions with stakeholders to understand their business needs and translate them into scalable and sustainable solutions on Azure.
Provide mentorship to cloud engineers, solution architects, and developers, sharing best practices and guiding the implementation of cloud solutions.
Work closely with DevOps teams to automate deployment pipelines and ensure continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) within Azure.
Collaborate with security teams to ensure solutions are designed with the highest security standards in mind, including identity and access management, network security, and data protection.
Cloud Migration and Modernization:
Lead the planning and execution of cloud migration strategies, moving on-premise applications and services to Microsoft Azure.
Drive initiatives around cloud-native development, containerization (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker), and serverless computing to modernize legacy systems.
Assist in the re-platforming or re-architecting of existing applications to be optimized for the cloud.
Performance and Cost Optimization:
Continuously monitor, analyze, and optimize the performance, scalability, and cost-effectiveness of cloud-based solutions.
Provide recommendations for improving system performance and reducing operational costs through the effective use of Azure resources.
Develop and implement best practices for disaster recovery, backup solutions, and data management in Azure.
Compliance and Governance:
Define and implement governance frameworks for managing Azure resources, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.
Work with internal and external auditors to ensure that the organization adheres to security, compliance, and regulatory requirements.
Implement Azure policies and role-based access control (RBAC) to manage resources securely.
Documentation and Reporting:
Create and maintain detailed technical documentation for architecture designs, cloud implementation plans, and deployment strategies.
Provide clear and concise reports and presentations to senior leadership on the status of cloud initiatives, including costs, performance, and scalability metrics.
Continuous Learning and Innovation:
Stay up to date with the latest Azure features, services, and best practices by engaging in continuous learning and attending relevant training or certification programs.
Evaluate new Azure services and technologies to determine their applicability to current and future projects.
