Essential Function
Sally, a division of SBH, is looking for a qualified intern to join our IT Operations Team. The Intern will be responsible for assigned Technology projects during the 10-week program.
This IT Operations Intern should be prepared to work cross functionally, have exceptional organization and communication skills, and be able to work effectively and with detail in a fast-paced environment. A final presentation to senior leadership (topic TBD) will be required at the end of internship.
The Intern position is a Hybrid role requiring working 2 days a week in the Denton Texas Support Center.
You will finish this internship having gained broad experience in various aspects of Information Technology Operations.
Primary Duties
20% Review existing operational processes, identify inefficiencies, define options for improvement and work to implement the most productive solution.
20% Assist in tracking of vendor SLAs, contact information and portal logins.
20% Identify and determine file share and distribution list ownership, compile data and help build solution to maintain all future updates.
20% Review Infrastructure and Operations policies for currency and modify as required to meet existing standards and define the versioning process.
20% Assist resolving challenges with current onboarding process copy profiles by defining categories for "dummy" profiles.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Pursuing a major in Information Technology or Computer Science.
- Ability to navigate a computer desktop.
- Ability to analyze and trend data.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements
The work environment involves everyday risks or discomforts which require normal safety precautions typical of such places as offices, meeting and training rooms, retail stores, and residences or commercial vehicles, e.g., use of safe work practices with office equipment, avoidance of trips and falls, observance of fire regulations and traffic signals, etc. The work area is adequately lighted, heated, and ventilated.
The work is sedentary. Typically, the employee may sit comfortably to do the work. However, there may be some walking; standing; bending; carrying of light items such as papers, files, books, small parts; using a keyboard, driving an automobile, etc. No special physical demands are required to perform the work.
