Essential Function

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced SR Software Engineer (Business Intelligence) with expertise in Power BI, Databricks, and Azure Data Factory. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in Data Science, Artificial Intelligence (AI), and Machine Learning (ML). This role requires excellent communication skills to effectively engage with business stakeholders and proven experience in managing onsite-offshore delivery models.

Primary Duties

  • Solution Design & Architecture

Design and implement scalable and efficient BI solutions using Power BI, Databricks, and Azure Data Factory.

  • Define data architecture and BI strategy to meet business objectives.
  • Integrate advanced analytics and machine learning capabilities into BI solutions.
  • Technical Expertise

    • Develop and optimize complex Power BI dashboards and reports for actionable insights.

  • Use Databricks for data engineering, advanced analytics, and ML model deployment.
  • Leverage Azure Data Factory for ETL processes and data pipeline orchestration.
  • Data Science & AI / ML

    • Collaborate with Data Science teams to build predictive and prescriptive analytics models.

  • Incorporate AI / ML algorithms into business intelligence workflows.
  • Stakeholder Engagement

    • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

  • Present solutions, prototypes, and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Onsite-Offshore Coordination

    • Lead and manage delivery across onsite-offshore teams to ensure project success.

  • Provide technical guidance and mentoring to the offshore team..

    • Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Technical Skills :

    • Proficiency in Power BI , including DAX, data modeling, and visualization best practices.

  • Hands-on experience with Databricks and Azure Data Factory .
  • Strong knowledge of Data Science tools and frameworks (e.g., Python, R, TensorFlow, Scikit-learn).
  • Familiarity with Azure Synapse Analytics and SQL-based data warehousing solutions.
  • Experience :

    • 10 years of experience in business intelligence, data analytics, and architecture roles.

  • Proven experience in designing and delivering end-to-end BI and data analytics solutions.
  • Soft Skills :

    • Exceptional communication and presentation skills.

  • Ability to manage and engage with diverse stakeholders, including business and technical teams.
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills for managing cross-functional teams.
  • Preferred Qualifications :

    • Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect, Azure Data Engineer).

  • Experience in other BI tools such as Tableau, Alteryx is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Agile project management methodologies.

    • Working Conditions / Physical Requirements

  • The work environment involves everyday risks or discomforts which require normal safety precautions typical of such places as offices, meeting and training rooms, retail stores, and residences or commercial vehicles, e.g., use of safe work practices with office equipment, avoidance of trips and falls, observance of fire regulations and traffic signals, etc. The work area is adequately lighted, heated, and ventilated.
  • The work is sedentary. Typically, the employee may sit comfortably to do the work. However, there may be some walking; standing; bending; carrying of light items such as papers, files, books, small parts; using a keyboard, driving an automobile, etc. No special physical demands are required to perform the work.
