We are looking for a new ideal team player as a Maintenance Technician - 2nd Shift in our Facilities department! The Maintenance Technician - 2nd Shift position, under limited supervision, is responsible for performing highly diversified duties to troubleshoot, repair and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety, predictive, and productive maintenance systems, and processes to support the achievement of Cosmos business goals and objectives.
- Perform highly diversified duties to maintain the production machines facility’s equipment.
- Maintain and update preventative maintenance procedures.
- Plan and schedule all facility, equipment, and repairs.
- Manage heating and plumbing systems to guarantee functionality.
- Repair faulty equipment units and damaged structures.
- Provide emergency / unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.
- Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
- Perform general maintenance tasks including landscaping, painting, and carpentry.
- Maintain the inventory records for equipment and supplies.
- Diagnose problems, replace, or repair parts, test, and make adjustments.
- Inspect buildings, equipment, and systems to identify and perform regular preventive maintenance.
- Conduct periodic quality checks on equipment and systems to ensure functionality.
- Check electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems of buildings to make sure its all working and operational.
- Use a variety of hand and power tools, and material handling equipment in performing duties.
- Constructing and fabricating parts, using hand tools and specifications.
- Detect faulty / defective material and report those and any unusual situations to the proper supervisor.
- Maintains a clean job site : picks up all tools and equipment and secures job site each day to eliminate potential hazards.
- Works in a safe manner and recognizes unsafe situations. Takes appropriate action to ensure the safety of themselves and others in the building.
- Other tasks as assigned.
This is a safety-sensitive position and should not be under the influence of any substance.
Requirements :
You will hold an associate's degree and / or Certification in a related field. Prior experience in maintenance & construction.
Schedule
Your work for this position is Monday through Friday starting at 3 : 00 p.m. to 11 : 00 p.m.

The employee must regularly lift and move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds.
Equipment used
Blister machine, box cutter, hand and machine taper, forklift, pack mule, and other mechanical devices and tools used in a warehouse.
