We are looking for a new ideal team player as a Merchandising Strategy Storyteller! The Merchandising Strategy Storyteller will transform Cosmos strategic insights into compelling, actionable stories for our retail partners. This individual will not be responsible for formulating company strategy but will play a critical role in translating our existing strategy into clear, persuasive messaging that resonates with retailers, enabling them to act upon our recommendations.
You will hold a Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field. If you have an MBA that would be a big plus! You will also have three to 5 years of experience in merchandising, category management or account management within retail, CPG manufacturing or a related industry, ideally with exposure to pet products or CPG.
This role has a hybrid work schedule; Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.

- Translate Strategy into Actionable Stories – Work closely with internal teams to interpret our company’s strategy and create compelling narratives for our retail partners that help them optimize their assortments and category performance.
- Sales Presentation Development – Develop and design persuasive PowerPoint decks that clearly communicate insights, trends, and merchandising recommendations, while ensuring adaptability across various customer types.
- Consultative Selling Support – Empower our sales team to communicate data-driven insights and strategies by providing frameworks and training on how to present the information effectively to retail partners.
- Category & Retail Analysis – Maintain a deep understanding of the competitive retail landscape, using market data to inform strategic recommendations that align with our overall business objectives.
- Problem Solving & Strategy Application – Apply creative thinking to translate complex challenges into practical solutions that retailers can act upon quickly and confidently.
- Internal Training & Knowledge Sharing – Equip new and existing sales staff with the tools to understand, present, and leverage the data and insights in their own customer conversations.

- You have a creative problem-solving mindset who can take complex market data and transform it into clear, simple narratives that resonate with retail customers.
- You're proficient in PowerPoint—ability to create visually compelling presentations that are consistent with our strategic message and adaptable across different retail clients.
- You have strong communication skills with an ability to train and mentor sales teams on how to effectively communicate insights.
