We are looking for a new ideal team player as a Mixing Technician - 2nd Shift in our Mixing department! The Mixing Technician - 2nd Shift position prepares batches of raw materials for production processing according to specifications and established procedures. Mixing Technicians obtain materials from inventory and utilize scales or automated equipment to accurately weigh. This position cleans and sanitizes processing equipment, tanks, filters, pipes, lines, and pumps, and completes all documentation or logbooks accurately and in accordance with GMP's. Additionally, this position follows hazardous material handling and personal protective equipment requirements, if applicable.
- Manufacture products according to specific batch records.
- Check inventory of materials required for production and manufacturing of products.
- Pick, weigh, and stage raw materials according to batch requirements.
- Prepare equipment, process raw materials, and properly mix ingredients according to specific batch records.
- Inspect product and report any quality issues to supervisor.
- Follow all safety rules/regulations and report any workplace injuries or accidents to the supervisor immediately, and communicate any safety observations accordingly.
- Keep workspaces and tools clean, following GMP's.
- Follow all SOP’s, GMP’s and all other applicable regulations.
- Performs all batch record documentations, inventory transactions and final batch confirmations.
- Connect hoses, pumps, and valves to transfer ingredients.
- Set up and tear down equipment as needed for cleaning, ensuring all equipment, pumps, lines, and pipes are clean and sanitized.
- Label drums, totes, and buckets appropriately.
- Collect samples for laboratory analysis after completion of each batch.
- Record production counts in an accurate and timely manner.
- Problem solve and complete small-scale troubleshooting.
- Perform all job functions at an acceptable level of production.
- Other tasks as assigned.
This is a safety-sensitive position and should not be under the influence of any substance.
Requirements:Hourly Rate: $19.50 to $22.00 based on prior experience.
You will hold a high school diploma or equivalent. You are a team player, thorough and detail-orientated, very observant, and have technical abilities.
Training Period
This position will train and work on the first shift for in-depth training in the Mixing Department to learn the necessary technical skills. This training period is expected to last at least 4 months. The work schedule for the first shift is Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. A temporary split-shift schedule may be required during shift transitions. The split-shift schedule would be 11:30 a.m. until 8:00 p.m.
Work Schedule After Training Period
After training on first shift and transitioning to second shift, the work schedule is Monday through Friday starting 2:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. which will include a 1-hour lunch break.

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The employee works near moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment can be loud. The employee is regularly required to stand, sit, walk; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk and hear, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The employee must regularly lift and move up to 50 pounds.

Mixing and blending holding tanks, Pack Mule, Forklift, Scissor Lift, and other production equipment.
