Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Sales and Order Coordinator to join our team at Cosmos Furniture, a leading wholesale furniture provider. In this role, you will be responsible for processing sales orders, generating work orders, maintaining communication with customers, and coordinating the logistics of deliveries and pickups. The ideal candidate will be able to manage multiple tasks efficiently while providing exceptional service to our clients and ensuring that all orders are fulfilled accurately and on time.
Responsibilities
- Receive, review, and process incoming sales orders from customers via phone, email, or online platform.
- Convert customer orders into work orders and ensure accuracy in product specifications, quantities, and delivery requirements.
- Maintain regular communication with customers to confirm order details, resolve issues, and answer any product or order-related questions.
- Provide status updates to customers regarding order processing, expected delivery dates, and any potential delays.
- Ensure that work orders are generated accurately and distributed to the appropriate departments for production or inventory picking.
- Schedule and coordinate delivery and pickup appointments based on customer preferences and company logistics.
- Address and resolve any issues that arise during the order process, including backorders, product defects, or delivery discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate records of all orders, communications, and deliveries.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, offering assistance and advice as needed to ensure their satisfaction with our products and services.
- Work closely with the warehouse, logistics, and sales teams to ensure smooth order processing and fulfillment.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Warehouse Supervisor or in a similar role within a distribution center environment.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate heavy equipment safely.
- Familiarity with materials handling techniques and warehouse management systems.
- Experience in order picking, loading/unloading, and managing inventory processes.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail are essential for success in this role.
