Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Marketing Manager to lead our marketing efforts and drive brand awareness. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing effective marketing strategies that align with our business goals. This role requires a creative thinker with a strong background in digital marketing, content creation, and product management. As a Marketing Manager, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance our online presence and engage our target audience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

This is a marketing generalist role and will manage projects and campaigns in many areas of marketing: advertising, brand management, content creation, paid digital, social, email marketing, marketing research and some public relations.

Marketing: The Marketing Manager, along with the agency of record and CEO, will be responsible for all marketing functions of the Cosmosphere, including advertising, public relations, media relations and publications. Working closely with the Cosmosphere’s agency of record, CEO and key staff, the Marketing Manager will assist in the design and implement marketing plans consistent with established goals and expectations for program and venue performance.

Public Relations/Image Building: The Marketing Manager will play a critical role in ensuring that the image and public perception of the Cosmosphere are maintained at a world-class level. From, publications and written communications, to advertisements and personal interactions with the public, the Marketing Manager and the marketing department will work to advance the image of the museum in all aspects of the job.

Staffing: It is critical that the Marketing Manager help foster a positive and professional environment that enriches the workplace, both within the departments and throughout the building. This position, and the staff members that report to it, are expected to perform professionally, and work closely with all departments as needed or requested.

Qualifications:

Education: Minimum four-year degree and related experiences required.

Excellent writing and communications skills, marketing experience, project management experience, budget experience.

Experience with Google and Social Ads.

Ability to execute brand communication plans that include local media, industry partnerships, community events, digital and social ad campaigns, another emerging channels.

A commitment to support a collegial, responsive and positive workplace culture based on mutual respect and open communication.

Prioritize and plans work activities, uses time efficiently and develops realist action plans.

Work Requirements

Schedule: Monday – Friday, some evenings and weekends (40 hours per week)

Physical mobility: sitting, standing, walking, lifting/carrying objects up to 30 lbs., manual dexterity to operate keyboard.

Experience with Adobe Creative Suite

Excellent layout skills with an eye for adaptive design

High creativity with attention to detail

Experience with SEO

Excellent attendance required.
