Summary

The Concrete Form Laborer will participate in the forming, pouring, and installation of concrete footings and cast-in-place concrete walls for a theme construction company. This position requires a minimum of five years of experience in the concrete industry, specifically related to building foundations and cast-in-place walls.

Location: Varies based on project assignment (within continental U.S.)

Travel Requirement: This is a 100% travel position. Candidates must be comfortable with continuous travel and possess the flexibility to work on the road for extended periods.

Shift: Varies; M – F; 7:00am – 3:30pm; M – Th 6:00am – 4:30pm; or T – F 6:00am – 4:30pm; or other first shift combination(s); possible overtime outside normal hours including weekends

Employment Type: Direct hire; non-exempt

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Inspect work areas for hazards and mitigate risks.
  2. Prepare job sites, including grading, forming, and layout of footings and walls.
  3. Install reinforcing steel and other structural components.
  4. Form and pour concrete structures, utilizing Symons and other forming materials.
  5. Conduct inspections to verify compliance with specifications and quality standards.
  6. Communicate effectively with team members.
  7. Adhere to safety requirements and equipment guidelines.
  8. Travel as needed to and from job sites.
  9. Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
  10. Perform other tasks as assigned.

 

Knowledge and Skill

  • Minimum of one year concrete construction experience, specifically in forming and pouring concrete footings and cast-in-place walls.
  • High school diploma or equivalent. Additional certifications or technical training preferred.
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints and project plans.
  • Proficient in operating heavy equipment and using construction tools.
  • OSHA/safety training preferred.

Physical Demands

  • Use hands to handle or feel; stand; walk; climb or balance; stop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk and hear.
  • Close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
  • Lift 70 lbs. floor to waist; lift 90 lbs. waist to chest; lift 25 lbs. chest to overhead; carry 50 lbs. over a distance of 50 ft.; push a 100 lbs. wheeled cart over a distance of 100 ft.; and drag 50 lbs. over a distance of 100 ft.

 

Work Environment

  • Exposed to typical noises and smells associated with the construction environment, such as exposure to fumes or airborne particles and machinery. Noise level is moderate to loud.
