DESCRIPTION
The Material Planner ensures the timely procurement and availability of materials to support production and business needs while minimizing costs and inventory levels. The Material Planner is highly organized, and builds strong relationships with internal functions including operations, product management, production/demand planning and the purchasing team. This position is based on-site out of our Headquarters office in Miami, FL.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Review Material Resource Planning (MRP) and monitor stock levels.
- Monitor demand forecasts and adjust procurement plans accordingly.
- Order processing, ensure timely placement of orders to meet the company’s MOS goal.
- Review MOS of current stock levels.
- Monitor consumption vs demand by looking at the take rate by period, depending on the Category.
- Review the monthly spending budget, and analyze and report causes of variances.
- Resolve availability issues by looking for substitutions and approvals from Commercial Team.
- Communicate any concerns and/or issues to management to improve material flow efficiency.
- Assist in identifying/depleting materials considered obsolete and excess inventory.
- Prepare and submit detailed reports to managers and directors within the supply chain team and different stakeholders from other functions.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, purchase orders, and supplier performance.
- Additional duties as assigned by the Material Planning manager.
SECONDARY DUTIES
- ERP reporting with cadence.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain or related field preferred.
- At least 2 years of experience in material planning/supply planning and inventory management.
- Certified Purchasing Agent is a plus.
- Ability to proactively problem solve and collaborate with internal stakeholders.
- Working knowledge of MRP/ERP Systems.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams).
- Strong analytical, planning and problem-solving skills
- Results-oriented and organized with the ability to plan and deliver against deadlines
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions such as VLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, PivotTables, and data analysis tools.
- Strong understanding of Excel formulas, macros, and conditional formatting.

- Full time – flexibility to work extra time if needed

- Minimal travel may be required
