SUMMARY:
Affinity Development Group/Costco Auto Program is seeking an experienced individual with strong copywriting and communication skills across all types of business and consumer media. This role will be responsible for a wide range of writing assignments including print and digital advertising as well as website copy. We are seeking a creative, strategic thinker who will use his/her knowledge and experience in a thriving, fast-paced team-oriented environment. Qualified candidates must have a strong understanding of the Associated Press style of writing as well as best practices and changing trends in marketing, advertising, and the internet. You will take part in comprehensive website audits to ensure accessibility standards are met and to optimize our online presence.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develops fresh and creative headline concepts and body copy for print, web, broadcast, point-of-sale materials, and email
- Works collaboratively to provide the best creative solutions to meet specific marketing objectives
- Solid understanding of direct-response copywriting, call-to-action, and script development
- Monitoring and analyzing the effectiveness of ad copy
- Proofreading and ensuring the quality of any outgoing correspondence
- May work closely with Manager to create and maintain an editorial calendar and collaborate to complete writing assignments
- Collaborate with web-development team to implement ADA-compliance changes
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
- Excellent writing skills with minimum five years of experience
- Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university with an emphasis on Marketing, Advertising, English, or Journalism; or a minimum of five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Strong business-to-business and business-to-consumer background in marketing
- Solid background producing a wide variety of copy, i.e. emails, newsletters, web content, internal communications, print marketing materials, and video
- Familiarity with AP style and work-management tools
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Docs, Microsoft Teams
- Ability to work well independently or collaboratively
- Strong verbal communication and listening skills
- Ability to manage several coinciding assignments and meet deadlines while maintaining a high level of expertise and composure
- Flexible and ability to adapt to multiple writing styles
- Detail-oriented and resourceful with a passion for excellence
Salary : $67,000 - $69,000
