The Product Owner will partner with Product Management Leads and stakeholders to translate product strategy and problem solving into a detailed, prioritized backlog of user stories. The Product Owner will collaborate with an Agile delivery team to implement, measure, and learn from the improvements they have made. The Product Owner manages execution of the value stream product features and delivery roadmap for Costco applications and programs. These are aligned to KPI's that measure the objectives of both, Costco’s IT Division and line of business stakeholders.

ROLE
- Works continuously/daily with teams to provide answers, feedback, and direction on work items, enablers, user stories, etc.
- Consults Product Managers for guidance and clarity on the product vision, roadmap, requirements, etc.
- Collaborates with the team to prepare the estimates for the user stories within the product backlog.
- Works with stakeholders to understand their business process requirements and assists them with enhancement requests for Networking.
- Creates epics and stories with detailed acceptance criteria for enhancement requests that address stakeholder business problems.
- Manages shifting priorities through a prioritized backlog to ensure a team is focused on work that provides maximum value and is aligned with the product strategy.
- Ensures teams meet their sprint commitments so product deliverables are on time.
- Breaks down big problems into small stories that provide value to users.
- Participates in daily standup Scrums, Sprint Planning Meetings, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.
- Ensures the product strategy aligns with the goals of the organization.
- Analyzes potential partner relationships for products.
- Keeps a watchful eye on future vision planning to ensure the organization is keeping up with industry standards, and identifies new functionality that is desirable for users.
- Interacts professionally with a diverse group: executives, managers, subject matter experts, and software developers.
- Develops project scopes, objectives, and milestones, involving all relevant stakeholders (internal and external) and ensuring technical feasibility.
- Works with program managers to communicate project statuses and identifies, addresses, and escalates potential setbacks and risks.
- Identifies, tracks, and manages risks and escalates when necessary.
- Organizes sprint and milestone demonstrations with stakeholders while providing guidance to agile teams.
- Manages inter-team dependencies to prevent impediments and fosters collaboration.
REQUIRED
- 2 years’ experience working in Agile teams.
- 2 years’ Agile Product Owner experience.
- Experience working with Kanban and IT Infrastructure teams.
- Experience with Azure DevOps and related Agile tools.
- Experience with remote teams.
- Well organized, accurate, and attentive to detail.
- Excellent communication, public relations, and follow up skills.
- Ability to work independently and have strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to perform multiple tasks concurrently in a fast-paced environment.
Recommended
- 5 years’ of related experience in IT Infrastructure.
- Agile Product Owner Certification.
- SAFe 5.0 Certification.
- Experience with ADO.
- A strong work ethic and sense of accountability.
- Strong interpersonal and business partnering skills.
- Good judgment and decision-making skills.
- Maintains a positive and results-oriented attitude.
- Proficient in Google Workspace applications, including Sheets, Docs, Slides, and Gmail.

Pay Ranges:
Level 2 - $105,000 - $135,000
Level 3 - $130,000 - $160,000
