This position is responsible for providing support and collaborating with Engineering, Operations, Manufacturing, Procurement, and Quality to accomplish the overall organizational objectives, to minimize product disruptions and improve the quality of processes.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Strive towards a culture of proactive safety.
- 100% inspects work pieces for cosmetic appearance and obvious non-conformities.
- Residual salt testing and leak testing.
- Preventative maintenance and equipment calibration.
- Assist in the identification, processing, and disposition of nonconforming material for internal and external issues, including supplier's nonconformances and customer returns.
- Maintain detailed records of nonconforming material, including documentation of issues, disposition decisions, corrective actions, and quality metrics.
- Generate metrics driven by data collected through the MRB process and communicates accordingly to identify trends and areas of improvement.
- Collaborate with necessary functions such as Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering, Procurement, etc. to effectively communicate nonconforming material issues and coordinate necessary actions, until closure.
- Perform containment of non-conforming or suspect material to eliminate the risks of inadvertently use nonconforming product.
- Assist in the investigation of root causes of nonconformities, support continuous improvement initiatives to reduce or prevent the risk of future recurrences.
- Actively participate, in all established company health and safety training programs, and comply with all policies and procedures.

REQUIREMENTS:
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required.
- Experience working with manufacturing and aerospace organizations is a plus.
- Experience with ERP systems, E2 is a plus.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as technical drawings, specifications, and requirements is preferred.
- Experience with metric trending is a plus.
- Ability to follow safety regulations and take directions.
- Strong communicator capable of working through complex issues with peers, management, and multiple functions is required to ensure nonconformance reports are created accordingly.
- A strong desire and mindset to drive actions and projects to closure without being prompted.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficient in MS Office Products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
