Position Overview: As a Masonry Technician, you will play a critical role in maintaining and improving the structural integrity and safety of residential and commercial chimneys. Your primary responsibilities will include relining chimneys, repairing smoke chambers, and rebuilding chimneys to the highest standards of craftsmanship.
Key Responsibilities:
- Chimney Relining: Assess the condition of existing chimney liners and install new liners as needed to improve performance and safety. Utilize various materials, including stainless steel and ceramic, and terracotta to ensure a durable and effective relining solution.
- Smoke Chamber Repairs: Repair issues within the smoke chamber, including damage from corrosion, heat, or other factors. Perform necessary masonry work to restore the smoke chamber to proper working condition.
- Chimney Rebuilds: Execute comprehensive chimney rebuilds, including removing and replacing damaged brickwork, rebuilding flue systems, and ensuring proper alignment and construction. Adhere to safety standards and building codes throughout the process.
- Inspection and Assessment: Conduct thorough inspections of chimneys and related structures to identify potential issues and determine the appropriate course of action. Provide detailed reports and recommendations to clients.
- Customer Interaction: Communicate effectively with clients to explain findings, discuss options, Ensure customer satisfaction through clear, professional interactions and quality workmanship.
- Safety and Compliance: Follow all safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe work environment. Stay updated on industry standards and best practices to ensure compliance and high-quality service.

Qualifications:
