What are the responsibilities and job description for the Diesel Mechanic position at Costys Energy Services?
Costy's Energy Services is currently seeking experienced Diesel Mechanics for their Muncy, PA location. This is a full time position. Having a CDL license is a plus but not mandatory.
Looking for someone knowledgeable in diesel engine repair, who’s safety oriented, has a positive attitude and is a team player.
Job Description:
- Comply with all safety procedures and DOT requirements
- Perform routine preventive maintenance on company tractors/ trailers
- Responsible for completion of all service requests as assigned
- Working knowledge of truck air, vac pump, water tanks, and electrical systems
- Complete daily paperwork and safety trainings as needed
- Troubleshoot and repair tractor / trailers in an efficient and timely manner
- Ability to work independently
- Detroit / Cummins system diagnostics is a plus
- Keep work area clean and organized
- Other duties assigned by management
Qualifications:
- Skilled on Detroit and Cummins engines
- Must furnish own small general tools
- CDL License Preferred
- Operate Trucks / Forklifts
- 1 plus years work experience in shop maintenance or as a diesel mechanic
- Ability to meet physical demands of Job
- Acceptable driving record
