We are seeking an experienced IT Asset Manager to oversee the full lifecycle of hardware and software assets, ensuring compliance, efficiency, and strategic optimization. This role will be responsible for managing daily asset operations, maintaining the Configuration Management Database (CMDB), and ensuring alignment with vendor contracts. You will work closely with procurement, finance, and infrastructure teams to track asset performance, optimize technology spending, and implement continuous improvements in asset management practices.
A key aspect of this role includes leading a small team of asset analysts, supervising their performance, and refining processes related to software and hardware asset management. You will be responsible for conducting audits, verifying software licenses, and reconciling hardware inventory to maintain an accurate and up-to-date CMDB. Additionally, you will develop governance policies, document procedures, and ensure best practices are consistently applied across all asset management operations.
The role also involves managing the global PC hardware refresh program, ensuring leased assets are returned on time while maintaining vendor relationships. You will collaborate with leasing companies, procurement, and finance teams to oversee lease orders. Additionally, you will be responsible for corporate mobile device accounts (AT&T, Verizon preferred), including service management, upgrades, and data usage monitoring.
The ideal candidate has 5 years of IT asset management experience, deep knowledge of ServiceNow, ITSM tools, licensing agreements (including Microsoft), and discovery tools, as well as strong vendor negotiation skills. A bachelor’s degree in IT, computer science, or business administration is preferred, along with IAITAM certifications such as CHAMP, CSAM, or CITAM.
