Summary of Position : Performs a variety of general laundry duties to provide quality and clean laundry services and routine manual housekeeping work, cleaning areas within CDP facilities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Laundry Aide duties on a regular schedule.
- Uses only approved cleaning products in accordance with label instructions or instructions provided by supervisor.
- Maintains the safety of patients, visitors, staff and others by keeping cleaning products in locked cart or cabinet when not in use.
- Housekeeping Aide duties
- Empties trash.
- Cleans, mops, scrubs, sweeps, or vacuums floors.
- Cleans, washes, dusts, or polishes hardware, furniture, mirrors, bedside lighting fixtures, vents, radiators, and exteriors of cabinets and equipment.
- Cleans patient rooms and / or offices thoroughly by mopping floors, washing furniture, scrubbing plastic cushions, frames and cleaning and washing bathroom fixtures and walls.
- Follows all universal precautions, blood borne pathogen procedures and uses personal protective equipment as needed while cleaning patient care areas.
