JOB SUMMARY
As a Measurement Technician for Coterra, you will be responsible for executing and supporting measurement projects and maintenance on operations systems, including installations, meter testing, calibrations, collections and troubleshooting. This role works closely with field operations personnel to ensure accurate operations and reporting of metering and/or measurement equipment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Documents, records and corrects audit findings
Resolves measurement differences with production of oil and gas
Installs and calibrates meter stations
Conducts root cause failure analysis
Troubleshoots and repairs (when possible) mechanical, automation, and electrical oil/gas measurement equipment, including but not limited to orifice meters, mass flow meters, water meters
Ensures BLM guidelines are followed and maintains strong working relationship with agency
Coordinates and communicates efforts with internal regulatory team
Responds to “call outs” as required
Complies with all regulatory, environmental and safety rules and standards, as well as company policies

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Understanding of:
LACT units, Tank Gauging, Run Tickets,
Oil and gas production equipment
On Shore Orders 4,5, and 6 Federal Regulatory requirements
API MPMS Measurement Standards
Must be a self-motivated and a team player with ability to adapt in fast paced environment
Strong verbal and written communications skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
YEARS OF EXPERIENCE
Minimum of 2 years oil and gas measurement experience required
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
This position requires a valid state issued driver’s license, and employees must pass an initial drug and alcohol screening at hire. Required to travel between field sites to perform daily tasks.
WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Work is typically performed outdoors. Exposure to conditions, such as extreme heat or cold is likely. Incumbents in this position must be able to physically and legally operate company vehicles and equipment. Employees must be able to perform work which requires walking, standing, sitting, bending, stooping, heavy lifting, and climbing, including steps and vertical ladders. Personal protective equipment, including, but not limited to head protection, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety shoes and flame resistant clothing is required. Safety rules including OSHA requirements are strictly enforced. Employees must be willing to travel and work extended hours on short notice.
